On the top-right corner of a standard subSilver template for index_body.tpl are text links. There are 3 links if logged in, one if not. The links are "View posts since last visit", "View your posts", and "View unanswered posts". The only one that is visible for guests or non-logged users is the unanswered one.
I have customized the search on a number of my boards to include things like "View topics I've started", "View last 24 hours", "View topics I'm watching", and so on. That MOD has been installed here, so you can preview it.
One of the MODs we got from the former authors of this site was "Topics I've Started" (link). However this MOD uses an external format and a stand-alone page rather than the standard search functionality.
So it is my intention to replace that original MOD with our own "Search Box" MOD as I believe it has more functionality, and in the long run is is also much easier to add additional search items into the list. The search box, like the forum "jump box" can then be placed on any page on your board.

I like it! It's cool.
I also have a "Watched Topics" MOD installed on my board, that uses profile.php to display the Watched topics, with an option to unsuscribe. I like that, because then it's independent on the Search (and the search limit). |

My "watched topics" list uses the search code but doesn't use the standard search template. The full version of the MOD has not been installed here because it's still being debugged, but envision the standard search output but with each topic listed having a checkbox, and you can mass mark topics to be removed from your watch list.
What search limit are you referring to? _________________ <sigh> |

The time limit between searches.

Oh, yeah, the search "flood" limit. I think that for "canned" searches this limit should be skipped. _________________ <sigh> |
